Westwind Public School opened its doors for the first time on September 6th, 2011. Nestled in the southern
part of Stittsville, our school is named after one of the first developments in the area called Westwind Farms. It is surrounded by mixed family dwellings in the front of the school and a forested area gracing the back play yard.
Westwind Public School offers beautiful spaces for creativity and collaboration. Vibrant colours enliven the school along with large floor to ceiling windows allowing natural light throughout. Wood framed shadow boxes and benches in meeting areas and the fun pencil people on male and female washrooms all add unique design touches to the structure. We offer English and French Immersion programs to over 650 students. In addition, we are an Extended Day Program site and provide before and after school care to students registered in the program.

At Westwind Public School we understand the importance of honouring each child as a unique individual. Our ultimate goal is to reach every student within a culture of caring. By creating a strong sense of belonging and a place where difference is valued and honoured, we support each learner to be the best that they can be. We use technology to connect them to our local and global community and we teach them to care for each other and be socially responsible stewards of our community. We challenge our students to think critically and creatively and be the change they want to see, catalysts within our school and community. As our school logo states, "Westwind students will blow you away!"
