What Do We Do?
We meet to discuss anything and everything that is important to the Westwind Public School community. Our meetings generally include reports from the Chair, Treasurer, Principal, Vice Principal, and other staff. During the meetings, we have an opportunity to provide input into student life, collaborate with school staff about programs and events, and learn more about what is happening in our child(ren)'s school.
Our objectives are to:
- Further engage parents in helping shape our students' learning journey.
- Play an active role in recognizing and supporting students’ health and well-being.
- Foster a sense of community between parents/guardians and staff to ensure there is a cohesive atmosphere of learning and achievement.
Council will strive to be a community that is open, culturally responsive and above all inclusive.
